While I understand the benefit of running well treaded tires in the rain, and wholly appreciate running "good" tires as a rule, I would argue that most of the incidents with Z's being in collisions in wet weather do not result from a poor braking due to worn tires. As evidenced by other posts in this thread, most are likely due to over-steer induced by loss of rear traction. As with any rear drive vehicle, especially a tt Z, accelerating out of a turn when the ground is wet will yield a predictable result. The remedy to this is not tires, but a handful of other alternatives, including, but not limited to: judicious acceleration appropriate to the conditions, driver awareness/skill, driving a vehicle better suited to the conditions. /$0.02
